Travis Bickle Taxi Driver M65 Field Jacket

I've been searching for a quality M65 field jacket for a while and kept seeing prices north of $200 for the good ones. This Travis Bickle edition from The Jacket Craft hits a sweet spot. The cotton outer material feels durable and has that proper matte military finish — none of that shiny cheap polyester look. The stand-up collar is solid and the button-over-zipper closure works smoothly. Inside, the viscose lining is smooth and the jacket isn't so heavy that you'd overheat in milder weather. The two outside pockets are deep enough to be useful, which I appreciate. The fit is a touch boxy which is true to the original M65 design — if you want a slim fit, go down a size. I went true to size and got the classic military silhouette. Worn it camping, on road trips, and around the city. It's become a daily driver jacket for me and at $129 it's genuinely great value. Minor note: the Taxi Driver connection is a fun bonus but honestly this works just as well as a standalone field jacket.

Big Scorsese fan and Taxi Driver is one of my all-time favorites. This jacket captures the Travis Bickle look incredibly well. The military green cotton fabric is the right shade and the stand-up collar with the button-over-zipper closure is very authentic. It's also just a practical, good-looking field jacket regardless of the movie connection. Fits true to size — I ordered a medium and it has a classic, slightly relaxed fit which is exactly right for this style. Shipping was quick too. 10/10.
